NY Times Progressive Agenda

Is The New York Times a media outlet
or an activist organization?

Raegotte Report

The New York Times has been continuously published since September of 1851, not the oldest daily newspaper but certainly among them.

Its founding editor Henry Jarvis Raymond stated the political position of NY Times as “We shall be Conservative, in all cases where we think Conservatism essential to the public good; — and we shall be Radical in everything which may seem to us to require radical treatment and radical reform.” Well, somewhere along the line the parts about 'conservative' and 'the public good' fell by wayside and became road-kill, carrion for the zombies of the progressive apocalypse.

The New York Times company was bought out by Adolph Ochs in 1896. Ochs had one heir, a daughter Iphigene Bertha Ochs who married gold duster Arthur Hays Sulzberger. The Gold Duster became publisher after Old man Ochs died. Although the Times has publicly traded since 1967, its reigns are tightly held by the Sulzberger Klan via class B shares, the latest heir to the throne is Arthur Gregg Sulzberger who was coronated in 2018.

The NYT tackles all issues from a progressive point of view, and I do mean tackles - pummels would be more apropos. Pew Research Centers’ media polarization reports the audience for the NY Times as “consistently liberal.” The New York Times has not endorsed a non Democratic Presidential Candidate since 1960, and without hesitation spins all narratives with a liberal-progressive agenda in mind.

"Is The New York Times a media outlet or an activist organization? It appears that it’s leaning toward activism. A recent town hall meeting of Executive Editor Dean Baquet and Times staffers revealed a publication struggling to maintain any meaningful independence from its aggressively left-wing readership and staff ... The leaked transcript is well worth reading, as it demonstrates how far-left voices now dominate the direction of the Times and how closely the newspaper’s work aligns with the progressive political strategies of the moment." - Daily Signal - Jarret Stepman

In the current era the NY times has lost all credibility except with the most ardent of proselytized progressives. Their slide down the slippery slope of socialism and bolshevism can be traced to the early 20th Century, even though my offspring will sometimes quip that I'm old enough to recall the first emojis as hyroglyphics, the first example I'll cite really is before my time.

In 1932 Walter Duranty of the NY Times received a Pulitzer Prize for a series of reports about the Soviet Union published in June 1931. He was criticized then and later for his denial of widespread famine (1932) in the USSR, most particularly the mass starvation in Ukraine. Years later, there were calls to revoke his Pulitzer, it eventually was revoked. Pulitzer Statement on Walter Duranty's 1932 Prize

The New York Times, which submitted his work for the prize in 1932, wrote that his articles constituted 'some of the worst reporting to appear in this newspaper.' It may have been "the worst reporting to appear" in the paper back then, but much more followed, much much more

Bias has killed the ‘Gray Lady’ — and Dean Baquet fired the fatal shot

"Fast Forward to incidents that even millenials and Generation X may recall -

While reading the transcript of a New York Times staff meeting, a Lily Tomlin line came to mind: “No matter how cynical you get, it is impossible to keep up.”

In this case, it is also impossible not to be disheartened and furious. The transcript shows that the rot of bias at the Times is far beyond the pale and there is no hope of recovery. Yet not a single person there declared the obvious — that the paper is betraying its principles.

Rigor in reporting and restraint in judgment once made the Gray Lady noble. Now she is dead, her homicide an inside job.

The transcript, leaked to Slate, reveals a confederacy of ignorance and bigotry involving hundreds of people. The ringleader is executive editor Dean Baquet, who fires the fatal shot into the credibility of his paper." - Michael Goodwin - NY Post

The Case of Tuvia Grossman

Bad Ass Israeli Cop and 'Palestinian'

Tuvia Grossman is an American student with dual Israeli citizenship, millions worldwide viewed the image on this page of the bad-ass Israeli Jewish cop brutally beating a helpless Palestinian. In reality, the Israeli cop was defending Grossman from a violent Moslem mob that had stabbed and beat him bloody. The photograph, taken in 2000 during the Second Intifada was published in The New York Times, Associated Press and other International newspapers who fictitiously reported that the Israeli police officer had brutally beaten a Palestinian.

The NY Times headline read “an Israeli policeman and a Palestinian on the Temple Mount”. Full Story

Anti-Semitism - Blatant Racism

For whatever reason progressives have taken up the banner of anti-semitism, they boldy and hypocritizally flaunt it for the likes of Linda Sour-Sore, and her Hamas comrades, they cowtow to the likes of Ilhan Omar and Rashi tllaib while vomitting their vitrole cloaked as commentary.

Justin Danhof, general counsel for the National Center for Public Policy Research, joined Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow to describe his observations when he questioned the New York Times‘s board of directors about what he described as the news media outlet’s “anti-white,” “antisemitic,” and “anti-conservative” biases.

Danhof reflected on the New York Times’ publication of what he said was an “extremely antisemitic cartoon” framing President Donald Trump as a blind man being led by a seeing-eye dog with the profile of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Full Story

New York Times, Central Clearinghouse of Antisemitism in America - The past several days have left many Jews in the United States feeling shell-shocked. Attacks against them seem to be coming from all quarters.

First, on Thursday, the New York Times’ International Edition published a stunningly antisemitic cartoon on its op-ed page. It portrayed a blind President Donald Trump wearing the garb of an ultra-Orthodox Jew, replete with a black suit and a black yarmulke, with the blackened sunglasses of a blind man being led by a seeing-eye dog with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s face.

The New York Times — as an institution that propagates anti-Jewish messages, narratives, and demonizations — is deeply tied to the rise in white supremacist violence against Jews. This is the case for several reasons. New York Times, Central Clearinghouse of Antisemitism in America

Anti-Semitic NY Times Cartoon

Flood of condemnations of New York Times for antisemitic cartoon

Condemnations of The New York Times increased over the weekend after the paper’s international edition published an antisemitic cartoon. The offensive image was of a blind US President Donald Trump wearing a yarmulke, being walked by a dog with the face of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and wearing a Star of David collar. Despite the paper calling it an “error of judgment” to publish it, congressmen and Jewish organizations joined the chorus of outrage. US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell called the cartoon “despicable,” and the American Jewish Committee said it was “naked antisemitism.”

As if thumbing its nose at Judaism and comman human decency, the NY Times, a few days after the above incident published yet another anti-semitic cartoon - New York Times Prints Another Anti-Israel Cartoon Amid Antisemitism Scandal Rocking Newspaper - The New York Times printed a second anti-Israel cartoon on Saturday in its international edition, a development that comes in the wake of the newspaper having run an antisemitic cartoon on Thursday, retracting it on Saturday, and then, later on Sunday, apologizing for running it.

Anti-Semitic NY Times Cartoon

New York Times slammed for another Netanyahu cartoon days after 'anti-Semitic' sketch - Dan Senor, a former Pentagon aide and advisor to Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, called out the "paper of record" for printing another anti-Netanyahu cartoon, this time depicting him as a blind Moses-like figure holding a tablet with the Israeli flag on it instead of the Ten Commandments.

More Racism

NY Times Demands ‘Total Shift’ in Movies People Like, to Meet Race and Sex Quotas Despite a plethora of diverse films competing for Oscar attention this year, the 9,000-member Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences largely maintained its traditional point of view, handing out the most nominations to four very male, very white movies. Kyle Buchanan’s [ny times] “Carpetbagger” column, “The Big Surprises And Glaring Snubs,” made a radical case for quotas.

After the British organization BAFTA nominated 20 all-white acting nominees last week, pundits fretted that the Oscars might pull a similar move. That crisis was averted, though just barely, when the “Harriet” star Cynthia Erivo landed an Academy Award nomination for best actress....

Buchanan actually previewed his outrage last week, squeezing as much out of the made-up controversy as possible: “After Oscar Season’s Wildest Week, a Troubling Takeaway -- As the field continues to narrow, female filmmakers and actors of color appear increasingly sidelined.”

Still More Bigotry - New York Times Demonizes the South with Misleading Coronavirus Map

In a bigoted effort to mislead its readers and demonize the American South, the far-left New York Times on Thursday manufactured a wildly misleading coronavirus map.

Using a desperately sweaty piece of reverse-engineering to make Southerners (and I’m a proud one, Yeeehaawwww) look as irresponsible as possible, the Times — a fake news outlet that hires racists, spreads deliberate misinformation, and has already smeared Christians as the cause of a coronavirus outbreak that’s currently hitting mostly secular, urban areas like New York — published a steaming pile of fake news. Get Trump !

American press's entire energy is bent toward destroying Trump - The mainstream American media have abandoned journalism's formerly prized ethos of "who, what, where, why, when." There is no pretense anymore that they serve a purpose other than maligning Donald Trump in the hope of destroying his presidency. The latest example comes from The New York Times, a once respected institution that now would offend the birds whose cages it might line. Breitbart also ran a piece on the incident: "At least eight New York Times authors shared a deceptively edited quote Monday from President Donald Trump’s recent call with state governors, creating the false impression that the president is denying federal support for ventilators that are needed in hospitals treating coronavirus patients." New York Times publishes fake news about American Thinker - New York Times published fake news [AGAIN] this time about about American Thinker In its Sunday edition, with the biggest readership of the week, the NY Times published an utterly baseless accusation, “The American Thinker falsely claimed that the [Fauci] email was evidence that he was part of a secret group who opposed Mr. Trump.” In other words, the newspaper did exactly what it purported this website did: “falsely claimed” something without a factual basis

New York Times Publishes Trump Tax Data Spanning Ten Years - The New York Times has published the personal tax data of President Donald Trump spanning a decade’s worth of time from long before he was a candidate for president, saying the documents show that Trump lost more than a billion dollars in the timeframe of 1985 to 1994.

Donald Trump Revealed His Billion-Dollar Tax Write Off on ‘The Apprentice’ 15 Years Before New York Times ‘Bombshell’

Critics gloated over President Donald Trump’s newly revealed tax details from the New York Times. But his economic struggles in the ’90s were no surprise for fans of his hit NBC TV show The Apprentice.

“It wasn’t always so easy. About 13 years ago, I was seriously in trouble. I was billions of dollars in debt,” Donald Trump said in his opening narrative of the main titles of the show in 2004. “But I fought back and I won, big league.”

Trump lashes out at New York Times over report on coronavirus response President Trump lashed out at The New York Times over a story it published on Saturday that reported Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar repeatedly warned the president of the possibility of a coronavirus outbreak weeks before his administration began to crack down in its response to the threat.

Trump denied the story in a Sunday night tweet, claiming it was “fake news” and that Azar told him “nothing” until after his office rolled out travel restrictions from China.

The campaign to re-elect President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced it filed a libel lawsuit against the New York Times, accusing the newspaper of intentionally publishing a false story last year related to the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. - Trump campaign says it is suing New York Times

Dan Bongino Rips NY Times Paul Krugman for Cheering Stock Market Decline

Of all the media “economists,” there’s perhaps none more objectionable than Paul Krugman. The long time writer for The New York Times has a track record of being highly partisan and making outlandish predictions, most of which never come true and all of which are targeted at harming Republicans.

So you can imagine how giddy Krugman is over the stock market decline that’s been wholly caused by the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus.

After a 22-month investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller investigating Russian ties to the Trump campaign and possible presidential obstruction of justice, the final 448-page report on the investigation has been released, confirming the previous summary by Attorney General Bill Barr that Mueller found no collusion and uncovered insufficient evidence to charge Trump with obstruction.

Which didn’t stop the New York Times from sounding bitter, and in particular targeting Barr for sounding too much like an advocate for Trump (who, after all, was not charged with anything). For starters, the Times faulted Barr for having the audacity to hold a press conference before the report’s release. Apparently the press didn’t appreciate the access. NY Times Covers for Biden

New York Times edits Biden sexual assault coverage, deletes references to past inappropriate 'hugs, kisses and touching' - The New York Times stealth-edited its article on the sexual-assault allegation against Joe Biden by his former Senate staffer Tara Reade just minutes after it was published on Sunday morning, removing all references in a key paragraph to the multiple past accusations by seven women that the former vice president had touched them inappropriately.

NY Times Editor Admits Editing Article on Biden Sexual Assault Allegation After Campaign Complained - Cites 'very subjective' standard in defense of paper's aggressive reporting on Brett Kavanuagh accusations. Dean Baquet, in an interview with Times media columnist Ben Smith, explained why edits were made to the following sentence, which appeared as follows in the print edition of the paper, on page A20: "The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden, beyond the hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable."

The 1619 Project - Attempt at rewriting History by the NY Times

1619 Project

The 1619 Project is an ongoing abomination focused on rewriting the history of Slavery in America, it was the brainchild of leftarded New York Times journalist, Nikole Hannah-Jones and developed by The NY Times Magazine in 2019 with the stated overt goal of 're-examining the legacy of slavery in the United States'. It was timed for the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first Africans in Virginia. While its overt goal seems commendable, its covert goal is evident and reprehensible. - 1619 Project - Read More

Even the NY Times 'Best-Seller' List is Biased

About half the American people do not believe the mainstream media tell the truth. They believe the media are more interested in promoting their left-wing views than reporting the truth.

I am, I note with sadness, a member of that half.

Here is but one more example: the New York Times best-seller list.

As a writer (who, for the record, had a previous book on that list), I have long known it isn’t a best-seller list, and I don’t pay attention to it. But I paid attention last week to see whether my recently published book, which opened up on Amazon as the second-best-selling book in America, was on the list. It wasn’t.

The book, The Rational Bible: Exodus, the first volume of a five-volume commentary on the first five books of the Bible (the Torah), was No. 2 in nonfiction on the Wall Street Journal best-seller list; No. 2 on the Publishers Weekly nonfiction best-seller list; No. 1 on Ingram, the largest book wholesaler in the country; and, according to Nielsen BookScan, the organization that tracks 75 to 85 percent of book sales, No. 2 in hardcover nonfiction. In fact, according to BookScan, it outsold 14 of the 15 books on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction best-seller list. But again, it is not even listed on the New York Times best-seller list.
