Aliens are real, at this point in time, with the preponderance of evidence and logical deductions, anyone who believes that we are alone in the Universe is extremely naive.
That they have and continue to visit the Earth is very probable, once again the preponderance of evidence strongly supports this scenario.
Beyond the previous two statements the discussion deteriorates into a debate between those of the tinfoil hat crowd and those that prefer to delve into the realms of the most respectable pseudo-science and informed factually based hypothesis and speculation.
If you are from the tinfoil crowd, welcome, please read on, but be assured that no one here is beaming thought waves into your cranium so feel free to discard the tinfoil hats at any time.
I'm taking a wild guess when I state that somewhere around 90 - 95% of all UFO and Alien genre literature that claims to be factually based are fabrications, hoaxes or poorly researched and uniformed parroted hyperbole.
It's sorting out the other 5 - 10% of actual and true Alien and UFO data, separating the wheat from the chaff, that presents a challenge and stumbling block to many researchers.
Although UFOs have been chronicled through most of recorded History, the current surge in UFO and alleged alien activity dates to the closing days of World War II . The foo fighters first spotted in the 1940s are the initiation point of the spike in Alien activity that continues relatively unabated to this day.
Some of these foo fighters / UFO sightings, particularly those in Western Eurasia can be written off to the Nazi Bell Project. Others, such as the UFO that crashed in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania in 1965 can quite possibly be explained away as US Government experiments following in the foot steps of the Nazi bell craft.
Far too many other UFO and Alien encounters are wholly unexplained by any means other than inter-dimensional or extra-terrestrial. They follow a pattern and logical chronological sequence. It is no coincidence that the current surge in UFO activity that began in the 1940s coincided with mans early experimentation with Atomic weapons in the Modern era.
It is also no coincidence that some of the most irrefutable and noteworthy UFO sightings occur in the vicinity of Nuclear facilities.
The infamous Roswell, New Mexico is only a stones throw from where the first Atomic weapons were detonated - That whatever crashed there in 1947 was an Alien craft is questionable.
The military initially claimed it was a weather balloon, it later came out that the crashed device was for nuclear test monitoring - which is quite feasible, although rejected by UFO enthusiasts.
What is certain is that UFOs appear to be monitoring earth based nukes. As early as 1952 a Look Magazine article made note of the correlation between bonafide UFO sightings and Nuclear installations.
"These sightings [UFO] were pinpointed on a map. Soon afterwards, it was seen by a Pentagon representative who noted that a number of concentrations duplicated exactly the area of atomic energy installations. The Pentagon man excitedly reported back to his headquarters. A conference was called immediately in Washington." - Hunt For The Flying Saucer - Look Magazine July 1, 1952
In September 1947 General Nathan Twining , who later became Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force as well as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff issued a memo regarding UFO reports - he advised that the subject should be assigned,
'a priority, security classification and Code Name for a detailed study of this matter to include the preparation of complete sets of all available and pertinent data which will then be made available to the Army, Navy, Atomic Energy Commission, JRDS, the Air Force Scientific Advisory Group, NACA and the RAND and NEPA projects for comments ....'
He also spoke of 'the lack of physical evidence in the shape of crash-recovered exhibits which would undeniably prove the existence of these objects'. This was several months after the alleged Roswell UFO crash.
April 17, 1950 - Atomic energy project Los Alamos, New Mexico UFO spotted on the eastern horizon by reputable observers, scientists in Government employ. Multiple UFO sightings have been reported by numerous credible eyewitnesses at Los Alamos over the years.
May 10, 1952 Savannah River Plant, South Carolina. * "disc-shaped" UFOs approached The plant at a "high rate" of speed.
June 21, 1952 Atomic Energy Commission Oak Ridge Lab in Tennessee had an unexpected visitor. The UFO was observed on the ground and also picked up by radar. The UFO was persued by a F-47 military aircraft on combat patrol from a 10,000 to 27,000 foot altitude. During an aerial dogfight, the UFO attempted to ram the F-47 on several occasions, before leaving the area.
July 5, 1952 4 Florida pilots reported a flying saucer hovering above the Hanford atomic works
Lake Norman - McGuire Nuclear Station - North Carolina
Lake Norman itself is a fairly large lake surrounded by many municipalities. These towns have provide a torrent of UFO sightings ever since the Mcguire Nuclear facility went online decades ago.
October 1965 McGuire Nuclear Station, Lake Norman, NC . Several pilots report UFOs flying in formation over Lake Norman. One, Philip Parker managed to take pictures. Another Pilot H.T. Mayhew reports he barely avoided collision with them. The Lake Norman area has had many other sightings over the following decades.
August, 1972 again at Lake Norman - Robert P. Sartin, a resident of the area near Duke Power Plant was alerted to a UFO by boys fishing the area, he also spotted the Craft. Four other adults were also eyewitnesses to the UFO. They state that hovered overhead for about 10 minutes, before flyiong sideways, then up and away at an incredible speed before disappearing into the heavens.
October 27,1975. Loring Air Force Base, Maine. Staff Sgt. Danny K. Lewi reports a UFO circling the nuclear weapons storage area. It hovered 150 feet above ground, placing the base on a major alert status. Radar tracked it for over 40 minutes. The craft later moved to within five feet of the ground before shutting off its lights and rapidly leaving the area.
November 22, 1975 Pilots flying in a private plane near the Savannah, Georgia Nuclear Plant saw a bright UFO in the vicinity, it flew about for about five minutes before flying away at a high rate of speed.
March, 1978 - UFOs flying side by side at treetop level at the McGuire Nuclear Station near Triangle, North Carolina.
April 24, 1980 - Pete Link and Jeff Schlatter, two contractors working on a roof observed a bright yellow UFO that rose up vertically from Lake Norman, made a loop and then flew rapidly away.
October 18,1982 - 2 veteran employees from the McGuire Nuclear Station on Lake NOrman while driving to work encountered a UFO. They observed a silver oval UFO which they at first mistook for a water tank.
June 24,1984 for about 15 minutes security guards from the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant near Peekskill, NY observed a UFO over the plant.
The UFO, was described as being huge, approximately 450 feet in length and diamond-shaped . It changed colors from white to blue, red and green. Local residents also inundated police in the Peekskill area with UFO reports. One of the witnesses, Sgt. Karl Hoffman said the UFO he observed included a "dozen white lights" in V- formation that slowly moved towards the power plant at Indian Point.
As the UFO approached the facility and approached its Reactor Number Three, the plant's security systems, shut down as did its alarm and communication systems . Security guards were issued shotguns and were awaiting orders to shoot at the craft. A request was also made for a military helicopter, but before the helicopter arrived, the UFO left the area.
The plant's information officer, Carl Patrick stated, "I can neither confirm or deny that the guards fired upon it, but they did what was necessary to protect the plant."
In more recent years the UFO monitoring of Earth Based nukes continues unabated. In January 2015 the Huffington Post reports "there were 18 separate occasions UFOs were seen flying over nuclear power plants in France between early October and early November. In July of 2015, in Britain a UFO tailed an RAF Bomber as it flew near a nuclear Power station.
