Anomalous Aluminum Wedge of Aiud
In 1974 along the banks of the Mures River in Romania an object resembling an ancient Hammer or perhaps a wedge was unearthed. It was found under 35 feet of sand along with two mastodon Bones. Mastodons have been extinct for 10,000 to 11,000 years, they are believed to have died out during the last great Ice Age.
Human Beings and Mastodons did coexist as per conventional Archaeological theory, but the more primitive people that were contemporaries of these magnificent creatures were stone age brutes, wholly unfamiliar with metallurgy and theoretically incapable of producing a metal tool, let alone engage in the advanced metallurgical processing required to produce Aluminum.
Even the earliest humans known to have worked metal were from the bronze age they certainly were incapable of producing Aluminum.
Aluminium requires a temperature of roughly 1,000 degrees to be manufactured.
Aluminum is made from bauxite, not discovered in the modern era till 1821.
About 7,000 years ago, Persians made pottery out of a clay - aluminum oxide mix, but nobody was able to produce aluminum as we know it till 1825, and even then a very low quality.
The Archeological Institute of Cluj-Napoca, Romania examined the artifact under the direction of Dr.Niederkorn of the institute for the study of metals and of non-metallic minerals.
The Aiud Wedge was found to be made of an aluminum alloy encased in a millimeter thick layer of oxide. Copper, silicon, zinc, lead and zirconium were also part of its composition, 12 different elements comprised the wedge making it a highly complex metal.
The researchers at Cluj-Napoca dated it at 300 - 400 years old using an undisclosed dating technique. The tests were duplicated by researchers in Lausanne, Switzerland, with similar results.
Theories regarding the wedges origins naturally led to ancient aliens and time travelers, and these theories are not without merit.
Claims that extra-terrestrials left it behind are fathomable in that the composition of the artifact is not unlike that used by NASA on contemporary space ships, in fact it could easily be part of a ships landing gear.
The conservative scientific community believes the wedge was manufactured on earth, by our ancestors for a yet undefined purpose with an unknown technology that they weren't supposed to have, in an era that they shouldn't have had it. The Aluminium Wedge of Aiud is not publicly displayed but imagery and documentation of the artifact do exist.
The aluminum wedge artifact would not be the only aluminum artifact of possible ancient origins found. In 1959 Chinese archeologists discovered ancient belt buckles made of aluminum that were believed to be several thousand years old. - Technology of the Gods: The Incredible Sciences of the Ancients
